Founder story
Agents are pushing human speed to its brink.
Machines were always fast. Agents are faster still, and they are pushing human leverage to the very edge of what a person can keep up with.
The gap
When something is faster than you, who reviews for you?
Everybody is connecting their mainframe to AI agents and making changes. The code arrives faster than any person can read it, and the review process on the other side was built for human speed. That is the gap.
What we are building
A system that helps humans verify faster.
Refinery augments people in the agentic era rather than replacing the judgement that matters. The intent is verification for everything.
We are starting from the most critical infrastructure in the world: the mainframe. If it works in the sector with the least tolerance for being wrong, it works in the rest.
Where we are
Building fast. Working fast.
I am Atilade Oke. Before this I built a number of things you can see on my CV, and now I am building Refinery. In roughly two months it has reached rooms that normally take far longer to reach, almost entirely because of people who opened doors.
In the age of agents, code is not the constraint. Verification is speed.
To verify is to go fast.
